Farah’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’ akin to Peter Sellers’ ‘After the Fox’.

Farah Khan might have set the trend of crafting richly entertaining film with her film ‘Om Shanti Om’, however, it’s heard that the story of her next biggie, the Akshay-Katrina starrer ‘Tees Maar Khan’, is similar to 1966 funny Italian film ‘After the Fox’.Incidentally, in the classic Italian comedy film Peter Sellers play a crook, who smuggles lots of gold and later initiates a plan to keep the stolen goods in a small coastal village by telling the villagers that he is making a movie on gold smuggling operation.
Akshay’s character is similar to Peter Sellers’ in ‘After the Fox’.Rumors are floating in B-town that Akshay’s character is quite similar to Peter Sellers in the 1966 film ‘After the Fox’. It has now turned out that Farah’s latest flick ‘Tees Maar Khan’ has quite distinctive traces of similarity to the Italian film, since Akshay plays a master conman, who contrives to escape from the policemen after stealing huge chunks of money and also tries fooling poor people.Katrina signed Farah’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’ for the glam look.After her steamy song ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ had become a rage amongst audiences.
Katrina recently revealed in an interview that she wanted to do Farah’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’ because the filmmaker has a knack of making her actresses look more glamorous than ever.
Apart from looking glamorous, Kat also stated that she did the film thinking it was going to be an action film, but surprisingly, it had turned out to be a different film.
Katrina is being called Sheila and Barbie.The reigning queen of Bollywood, Katrina Kaif stated that after seeing her sizzling look in ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’, people nowadays call her Sheila, though some continue to call her by her trademark name ‘Barbie’.“These days, I’m being called Barbie and Sheila, half and half,” stated Katrina.
Talking about her sexy song, ‘Sheila ki jawaani’ and the clothes, Kat stated, “Yes, I’ve worn a half-sari, but the song is not so much about clothes as it is about the attitude. That’s Farah’s strength. It’s an item song featuring a struggling actor with big Bollywood dreams.”
