“Ma Bina Kasai Kasailai Mushkil Chha Pokharama”….I’m sure you’ve been hearing this infectious tune a lot lately. Well, it has absolutely taken over the media and here’s one more reason for its singer to rejoice! Pramod Kharel has finally unleashed his most anticipated album “Pranaya”.  
 
Released under the label of Bindabasini Music, the album saw its launch on 27th July, Tuesday at DECC, United World Trade Centre and it was not just an unfolding of Kharel’s work. It was a massive gathering of many who’s who from Nepali music industry. The event was graced by the presence of a number of veteran musicians: chief guest Yadav Kharel, Sambhujit Baskota, Mahesh Khadka, Alok Shree and singer Ram Krishna Dhakal. Almost all the senior guests spoke a few words on the singer and lyricist Rajendra Thapa even added that, “Pramod has the right attitude to establish himself as a great artist in the industry. With utmost talent, a will to move on come what may and a comforting voice, he is surely here to stay.” The launch was inaugurated by Kharel’s parents father Balbhadra Kharel and mother Bishnu Sharma Kharel.  
 
The function was basically to introduce the eight-song collection but in addition, it helped bring in the other side of Kharel. Also a chemistry lecturer at a college, the singer amazed the audience with a live performance of two of his singles, “Yaad Garna Pani” and “Kalo Kothi”. His presentation proved he is one true artist with a great caliber. “Pranaya” is certainly an album to own |
